Certainly this segment will not end all the ongoing controversies related to this topic! However, our time together will provide a clear, thoughtful, and logical description of the vertical extent of treatment, or what is termed working length, how large to prepare the apical terminal extent of the canal, and what is the appropriate taper, or deep shape, that promotes three-dimensional cleaning and filling root canal systems. Note that this show will NOT provide a cookie cutter approach for finishing canals. Rather, this show will emphasize the mechanical objectives that, when properly performed, will fulfill the biological objectives for root canal preparation.
